In April 2024, the SYGIDAN-Recettes system was extended to 4 new municipalities: Assinie, Rubino, Akoupé, and Affery. For the RDF team, the month of April was characterized by a series of activities related to the deployment and use of the system within these municipalities, including training for collectors and town hall staff, system configurations adapted to the needs of each municipality, and market tax collection tests in the field.
The town of N’Douci began using the system in the beginning of March, while Katiola and Tiapoum plan to deploy it during the month of May. In addition, there are plans to extend the collection to other types of taxes, such as rental leases.
A pre-validation workshop of the SYGIDAN-Recettes platform was organized from April 24 to 26, 2024 in Assinie-Mafia. This event, led by the DGGDL as part of PAMREC, provided an opportunity to present the software and collect comments for its improvement. Suggestions were made by participants to strengthen financial management, data security, and integrate new payment methods, and a report has been produced to guide the next phases of system improvements.
