Côte d’Ivoire
The Minister of Interior and Security, in cooperation with the African Development Bank and RDF, launched the Municipal Revenue Mobilization Project in Côte d’Ivoire (PAMREC) in Côte d’Ivoire in July 2023.
Funding is provided by the African Development Bank with an aim of reorganizing public finances at the municipal level. The project involves a collaboration between the AfDB, RDF, and the Ministry of Interior and Security’s Directorate of Decentralization and Local Development (DGDDL).
RDF is contributing through the development and deployment of the PROTON tax system across 19 municipalities. The PROTON system is equipped with a variety of features designed to optimize local tax collection processes at all levels. PROTON centralizes geo-referenced taxpayer data and their associated payments, while also providing additional functions to monitor the tax collection process and analyze payment data.
