RDF Board of Directors decides to enter the electricity sector

The RDF Board of Directors yesterday decided to position RDF to help developing countries improve governance of concessions for electric power production and distribution grids.

“Electricty generation and distribution will receive significant investments in the future, not only because of the transition to a greener economy, but also as developing countries takes advantage of new technology related to solar and micro-grids and become less dependent on petroleum imports”, says RDF’s Managing Director Aasmund Andersen.

RDF will develop a demonstration system and a concept note that will be circulated to stakeholders to help identify a pilot project.
