RDF Quarterly Impact Report

During the fourth quarter 2016, RDF systems supported low-income governments to record US$ 5.2 million in government revenues. The result consisted of government revenues from mining, forestry and property tax to the governments of Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, Ghana and Mali.

Total cumulative revenues recorded in RDF systems deployed in government institutions are now US$ 206 million.

Revenue payments for Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Malawi and Ghana are made public through the online repository portals. The portals has now over 4,000 registered users, of which over 65% are mining companies and investors.

During the fourth quarter, all RDF supported countries on mining sector governance also started quarterly reporting on the systems impact matrix, following the draft RDF Mining Cadastre and Revenue Systems methodology. The report on systems impact will be made public later in the year.
